Day 1: Arrival in Dehradun – Drive to Joshimath

On arrival in Dehradun, begin your journey to Joshimath, which is about 295 km from Dehradun and takes around 8-9 hours by road. The drive takes you through the scenic beauty of the Garhwal region, passing through towns like Devprayag, Rudraprayag, and Karnaprayag, where the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers merge. Along the way, you’ll witness beautiful landscapes, dense forests, and flowing rivers. Arrive in Joshimath by evening, check into your hotel, and rest after the long drive. Overnight stay in Joshimath.

Day 2: Joshimath – Badrinath Darshan – Return to Joshimath

After an early breakfast, drive to Badrinath, which is about 45 km from Joshimath and takes approximately 1.5 hours. As you approach Badrinath, the majestic Neelkanth Peak welcomes you to this holy town. Upon reaching Badrinath, visit the sacred Badrinath Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu, and take part in the morning prayers. You can also take a holy dip in the Tapt Kund, a natural hot water spring, before entering the temple. After darshan, explore nearby attractions like Mana Village (the last village on the Indian-Tibetan border), Vyas Gufa, and the Vasudhara Waterfall. In the afternoon, drive back to Joshimath and spend the evening at leisure. Overnight stay in Joshimath.

Day 3: Joshimath – Return to Dehradun

After breakfast, begin your return journey to Dehradun, retracing the scenic route through the picturesque mountain towns and river confluences. The drive takes around 8-9 hours, and you’ll pass through Rudraprayag, where you can make brief stops to admire the natural beauty. Arrive in Dehradun by evening, check into your hotel, and relax after the long journey. Overnight stay in Dehradun.

Day 4: Departure from Dehradun

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed with your onward journey. If you have time, explore a few local attractions in Dehradun, such as Sahastradhara, Robber’s Cave, or the Tapkeshwar Temple, before concluding your trip. The Badrinath Yatra ends with divine blessings and cherished memories of your pilgrimage to one of the most revered temples in India.
